Steps[]
Tier 1
1. Objective: Find the entrance to the Illuminati tunnels.
Hint…
In the cutscene, Henry mentions that the tunnels are underneath Main Street.
Hint…
Walk around near town hall until you hear a noise
Hint…
When you hear the noise, move your cursor over that part of the pavement until you see a cogwheel cursor, then click to uncover the trapdoor.
2. Objective: Find a way to open the trapdoor.
Hint…
When you examine the trapdoor, you will see an inscription reading "Clavis Aurea".
Hint…
Clavis Aurea means "Golden Key" in Latin.
Hint…
Inside Town Hall, on the top floor, there is a golden key (the key to Kingsmouth) on the wall.
3. Enter the tunnels.
- This will take you to a solo instance for the duration of the mission.
Tier 2
- Objective: Explore the tunnels.
- Go to the tunnels on your left, then at the intersection head left again. Then head right. You will be at a door with an inscription which reads "Oculus, rara avis".
Hint…
This translates to eye, rare bird. Under the plaque are four symbols. Use the eye and the phoenix symbol to open the door.
If you receive a message that you do not have all the items, check that you have not left any items in the apertures next to another door.
(And what do you do when this doesn't work? Discuss.)
Tier 3
- Objective: Explore the tomb.
- Loot the coffin in front of you. Don't pull the lever, unless you want to be locked in this room.
- Objective: Unlock the southern door.
- Return to the entrance of the tunnals, then head in the other direction until you reach another plaque reading "of Khufu, of the Grand Lodge."
Hint…
Khufu was a pharaoh.
Hint…
Use the pyramid and the masonic symbol (on the far right) to open the door.
Tier 4
- Objective: Explore the southern tunnels.
- You will find a locked door, letters on the floor, and a note reading:
"To proceed, write as a Learned Man would. Look to Jerome's Work on the two score of the first Psalm, the eight part, the first Darkness."
Hint…
A score is 20. Two score and first is therefore 41st.
Hint…
Psalms is a popular bible verse. Is Jerome related to this?
Hint…
St. Jerome is credited as being the first to translate the Bible into Latin.
Hint…
the first word of Psalm 41:8 in Latin is "Abyssus." That's pretty dark. Type it by stepping on the letters on the floor. Jump to spell the double S.
- If you mess up, the room will fill with poisonous gas for 10 seconds.
- The quest will not update, but you will find a new puzzle.
- You will find 2 clues. One is a note which reads:
"Should thy desires be thwarted; wepp not for thyself, but for Dolandi."
- The second note is a smudged musical score on the wall. The letters on the pipes correspond to the letters of musical notation; the levers determine the length of time the note will play.
Hint…
John Dowland wrote a lute song called "Flow My Tears"; the musical score you received is a portion of this song.
Hint…
Pull the levers to decide what kind of note (half, whole, etc.) will play, and push a pipe to play a note (A, B, C, etc). You are to play the smudged part. Look up a score.
Hint…
1. pull 2nd lever and A pipe. 2. Pull first lever then E pipe. 3. Pull third lever and E pipe. 4. Pull third lever and G pipe. 5. Pull third lever and G pipe again.
- The door will open to the sound of the music, unless you mess up in which case you will start choking on poison. Again, when the door opens, you will be faced with a puzzle.
Hint…
There's no clue in this room. Rather, there will be a book near the beginning of the tunnels. Head through the door straight ahead, then to the left.
Hint…
The book says "A man who seeks Enlightenment shall set himself in Motion: He shall show appreciation for the Exertions of his fellows, And make as a Church-Going Man does before Holy Symbols. He shall show Great Disdain for the Trappings of Old Empire, and avert his Gaze from schemes Coiled and Chaotic."
Hint…
"He shall show appreciation..." Stand in front of the statue and type /applaud into the chat box.
Hint…
"And make as a Church-Going Man..." Stand in front of the angel and type /pray.
Hint…
"He shall show Great Disdain for..." Stand in front of the soldier and type /spit.
Hint…
"And avert his Gaze..." Stand in front of the serpent and type /covereyes.

- Look in the coffin, and click on the note inside.
Tier 6
